Donations to the All-purpose University Endowment Fun
The rapid social changes induced by globalization in recent years have gradually depleted government finances, resulting in reductions in education funding. Because of the highly competitive higher education environment, public universities are no longer fully subsidized by the government, pushing these universities to actively seek financial resources to enrich their university endowment funds. In addition to the specific-purpose donations granted to academic and administrative departments, donations to the All-purpose University Endowment Fund will be planned and managed by NYCU to be utilized for a wide range of purposes, including university-wide teaching, research, school affairs promotion, education development, education quality and performance improvement, and building expansions and repairs. Your donations and support will truly make a difference, and please be assured that all donations will be put to great use in the sustainable development of NYCU.

Q540218 CCS Chair
The information and communication technology (ICT) industry is the cornerstone of Taiwan’s high-tech development, and technological talent serves as the driving engine for industrial upgrading and innovation. However, universities are currently facing multiple challenges. In the field of computer science, professors’ starting salaries are often lower than those of the master’s graduates they have trained, which reduces the incentive for master’s students to pursue doctoral studies. Consequently, the proportion of doctoral graduates entering academia has been steadily declining. At the same time, about one-third of full-time university faculty members across Taiwan are approaching retirement age, raising concerns over a looming faculty shortage that could affect both the quality and capacity of advanced talent cultivation. To proactively attract and retain outstanding young scholars in teaching and research, the College has launched the CCS Industrial Chair Program . Through corporate donations, the program establishes fellowships to support new faculty in developing their academic careers and ensuring long-term retention, while also recognizing the achievements of current professors with outstanding performance. Awardees will be named after the sponsoring corporation, symbolizing the joint commitment of industry and academia to talent cultivation. With sustained participation and support from the corporate sector, the College aspires to inspire and empower exceptional faculty to dedicate themselves to teaching and research, nurture the next generation of technological leaders, and strengthen the sustainable development and global competitiveness of Taiwan’s higher education system.
